decades later.ü

well. after three weeks of non-blogging days, here it is. my life has gone on the same direction day after day. day after every stinkin' day. haha, harsh? and if i could guarantee little kids wouldn't read a single word in this blog, i'd use even harsher language. haha.(:

eniwei, after endless days of sleeping, eating, tv watching and net surfing, i finally get to leave the house. haha. and we go to the Royal Pavilion. designed by John Nash during the 1880's. and then my head started to circle. i mean, how could that be possible if John Nash was born in 1928? then i found out that the 1928John Nash was an american mathematician, and was the subject of the movie 'A Beautiful Mind'. cute movie, you should watch it.(: and the 1880John Nash was an english architech, well, turns out, there're lots of famous John Nash's. go figure. haha. :D and yeah. the pavilion was a mix of chinese-indian design. "The Royal Pavilion: Taj Mahal on the outside, Chinese Temple on the inside." apparently, because of the dragon and snake design of the pavilion, the music room got knocked down a lot of times, and Nash had to rebuild it every single time it came crashing down. they say dragons and snakes bring bad luck to any home it enters. chinese belief.

and then, we went to a bookstore cause my mom wanted to get a tourist's guide to rome. and it took her like, two hours just to find the right book. so, since i had nothing to do, i looked for a tourist's guide book on the philippines. and i found a fair few. they had four philippine books. four. and all the other countries occupied four shelves! but it doesn't matter cause the philippine books were tall and thick, while the other books were short and thin. :) eniwei, i read a book and it was kinda interesting, so i read on.

apparently, they say that the Philippines is a diver's haven. having over a thousand different species of fish - including the smallest fish in the world, the sinarapan, as well as the largest, the whale shark. and also having 488 species of colorful corals. in other words, the Philippines has a rich marine life. o dba?^^ be proud!(: kulang nla SERENA. :p

and it also said, "A rich and wild wonderland of diverse natural beauty awaits the visitor, with many species endemic to the Philippines alone" having 12000 species of plants, 80% of which are endemic.

it also mentioned that tourists are told that Manila is not the Philippines, although Manilenos are representative of the Filipinos. since the city-folk are westernized, tourists think that all the Filipinos are. but, sorry to say, in some pockets of the country, poverty still dwells.):

eniwei, the book mentioned every place, every tourist spot, every tradition, every filipino characteristic, every fiesta celebrated in every month, every important event, EVERYTHING - including the presidents' profiles. i got so interested in it, i wound up buying it. haha.^^ i did feel silly buying a tourist's book about the Philippines, since i already live there. but hey, i needed something to kill time, and it was interesting.(: sue me.^^

and now, i guess i've turned this blog entry into a 'get-to-know-the-Philippines-more article'. but, i guess i just realized how much the Philippines has it's own beauty. even without the snow.(: haha. i just thought of having snow in the Philippines might be fun.^^ eniwei. that's kinda it. a book and a palace. :D

and now, i have to keep reading that book!:) haha. well, 'till next time.<3^^
